Problem

Nowadays everyday commute is largely associated with the irrational waste of resources, be it time, funds, comfort or petrol. Considering that, on average, we spend 2-3 hours every day on our regular commute, the scale of waste of these resources is truly shocking. While many attempts have been made to solve this evergrowing issue, our team has come to the conclusion that the empty seats in the cars, that people use to travel every day, are a massive untapped resource, utilization of which will significantly ease the burden of transportation, which is what Gamo aims to do.

Goal

Gamo aims to alter the transportation culture, for everyday commute within the city and for long-distance travel, by connecting drivers and passengers traveling in the same direction, aiming to provide the best possible matches for its users, at the lowest available price.

Overview

Gamo is a mobile ridesharing application, that connects drivers and passengers traveling in the same direction, allowing them to share their travel costs. The algorithm calculates the cost of petrol spent during transportation, in accordance with the local petrol prices. At the end of the journey, the passenger compensates the costs of petrol spent during the ride to the driver. As a result, drivers are able to make significant cuts to their petrol expenses, while passengers travel in a more comfortable environment, at an affordable price, compared to the existing methods of transportations.

Additionally, we aim to add a B2B model within the app, for the internal use for our client companies, which will allow employees to ride together to their workplace, increasing employee punctuality,  transportation cost management, and acting as an everyday teambuilding exercise between coworkers.
