Angel Investor Training Bolsters Support for STEM Entrepreneurs in Indonesia

February 27, 2019

GIST Investors is returning to Indonesia for its second investor training on April 5, 2019. As part of the training, GIST Investors will also host an online training in March, which will reduce the barriers some investors face in participating in this program.

The GIST Investor Mobilization Training, also known as GIST Investors, supports Indonesian angel investors by teaching them how to build a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and provide critical early-stage investment support for science and technology-based startups.

For its second in-country program, GIST Investors Indonesia brought leading global angel investors to train Indonesian science and technology-focused investors on portfolio management, risk mitigation, and cross-border investing. The program equipped Indonesian investors with a sound knowledge base so they can continue to support the thriving Indonesian entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In preparation for the April training, GIST Investors Indonesia hosted an online training for Indonesian science and technology-focused investors. The online training covered why science and technology startups fail and how to identify and mitigate those risks.

GIST Investors Indonesia is hosted by the GIST Network, with implementation partner VentureWell and in-country partner Angel Investment Network Indonesia, also known as ANGIN.
