The U.S. Department of State’s Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Initiative,  is launching its second GIST Investors Mobilization Training program (GIST Investors) for Malaysia in April 2019. GIST Investors Malaysia will be help in Kuala Lumpur and will provide in-person training to angel investors in the region – continuing GIST’s commitment to supporting the Malaysian investor ecosystem and building more opportunities for entrepreneurs.

GIST Investors Malaysia is conducted in partnership with Malaysia-based SizzleScience and implementation partner VentureWell. Both organizations offer the program the ability to bring American experts in startup investments to Malaysia to support the ecosystem.

The training will bring leading global investors to train Malaysia investors on deal sourcing, conducting due diligence, and negotiating term sheets and valuations. In addition to the in-person training, GIST Investors will be hosting two optional informational webinars for participants leading up to the April program. Presented in February and in March, these webinars will cover high-level topics such as the fundamentals of angel investing, deal sourcing, and due diligence.
