DNU is a leading national HEI, consisting of 14 faculties, 46 research laboratories, 3
research institutes, providing training for 9,000 students from more than 20 countries in
87 specialities. In the period of 2009 to 2019 DNU has signed 52 agreements in the sphere
of students and faculty exchange, joint scientific research. For that period more than 260
foreign delegations visited DNU, about 50 international exhibitions and 117 conferences
were held in the University. DNU is a member of Eurasian Association of Universities
(1997), European Collegium of Polish and Ukrainian HEIs (2002), Eurasian Forum
(2005). This membership lets DNU cooperate fruitfully and increase the quality and
effectiveness of students and faculty exchange activities.
DNU has all the premises, academic background and technical basement to be a
partner in the Erasmus + KA1 Project. DNU can share its experience and gain innovations
in tutoring foreign students. DNU’s intentions and needs coincide with the Regional
Innovative Development Strategy. The amalgamation of these features makes DNU a
really appropriate partner to enhance the expertise and practices in the sphere of
adjusting international students into social and academic environment of EU HEIs. The
internationalization policy of DNU has shaped the real background in order to implement
the reforms within the HEIs in Ukraine due to the EHEA principles in our
cultural/economic/social environment.
DNU has experience in mobility/exchange programs, basing on the mutual
mobility/academic agreements with 85 universities all over the world. Currently DNU is
involved in Erasmus + KA2 project “Structuring cooperation in doctoral research,
transferrable skills training, and academic writing instruction in Ukraine’s regions /
DocHub”, number of bilateral agreements in the frame of Erasmus + KA1 program are in
action now.
Under the internationalization policy of DNU our EU partners have had a chance to
reconsider how best to respond to the EU developments in the sphere of higher education
if our owns higher education system is considered to be ”sound knowledge providing”
(mainly in engineering, applied math, chemistry, biology space researching, environment
and ecology studies as well as humanities).
