My current project, Kocho Dough Extraction Plant, designed primarily to increase per capita income of enset farmers, transform the lives of women and children, enhance community resilience and reduce women work load in line with sustainable utilization of natural resource through practical implementation of integrated water resource management, solid waste management and resource oriented sanitation principles. Commercialization of nutritious kocho would benefit farmers of many regions of Ethiopia, women, product vendors and children. Fair and equitable sharing of the economic advantage to the indigenous community from commercialization of kocho powder achieved through well-organized value chain and value chain actors imposed by my proposed organization. The proposed organization will also encourage fair and equitable profit sharing among traders and producer farmers. Thus, the existing trend which could let traders -collectors, wholesalers, and retailers-to get more profit margin than the producer farmers with in small operating expense will be adjusted.
