The U.S. Department of State's Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Initiative, along with implementation partners VentureWell, is pleased to announce the winners for the Startup Training program for science and technology entrepreneurs from North Macedonia. 

Elevate Global took home first place in the 2019 GIST Regional Startup Training in North Macedonia. The team won $2,000 and a spot in the GIST Business Incubator. 

Elevate Global won for their Adaptive dataStream Analytics Platform or ASAP. ASAP is a service that provides detailed multivariate analytics on the target process or equipment, generates multiple forecasting models and detects the anomalous behavior with low latency.  

Second place was awarded to Stringershub from Belarus. They won $1,000. 

StringersHub is a media platform that connects stringers - freelance videographers and eyewitnesses - and media buyers globally. On the platform, media buyers can post current video shoot assignments or seek for footage in the marketplace. As for the stringer, (s)he can accept an assignment in the location or upload the latest news video content to the marketplace.  

At third place, Imprinit from Georgia and Ukraine took home the Spirit of GIST award and $500. 

Imprinit is an adventure activities marketplace and travellers’ society with affordable prices and direct connection with locals. Imprinit is a scalable and viable startup in a rapidly growing adventure tourism sector with multiple revenue streams, experienced team, and a short time to the market idea. 

This training provided entrepreneurs with the skills and tools to develop their business models and grow their ventures.  

Participants spent four days honing their business ideas, perfecting their pitches, and showcasing their innovations during a Demo Day in front of business leaders, investors, academics and policy makers.
