Shrimp productivity in Indonesia since 2014 – 2016 is decreasing while the demand keeps increasing. Farmer faces shrimp diseases which are triggered by changing of water quality due to too many factor such as climate change or wrong water treatment. Also, majority of shrimp farmer can't afford hiring cultivation consultant. These cause an un-optimal of shrimp productivity.
JALA helps shrimp farmer manage their water quality to boost the yield and create the sustainable business. JALA solves the shrimp farming loss and harvests uncertainty by providing a farming assistance as their manager, accountant, and technician.
We developed a multi-sensor water monitoring device that is easy to use and affordable for the majority of Indonesian shrimp farmers that are small holders. Paired with the software platform, farmers can monitor their pond's water quality and adjust their treatments and techniques to ensure a healthy and bountiful pond.
JALA is also developing a platform to help shrimp farmer increase the yield and accomplish sustainable farming business by provide a platform of cultivation planning system, reporting system, and risk calculation system.
Today, JALA has been developed in 7 cities, 12 shrimp farmers, 80 shrimp ponds in Java, Indonesia since March 2017. Our team is continuing to produce JALA to fill huge market demand from local shrimp farmers from all across Indonesia. We also need as much as field data to strengthen JALA’s suggestion system in giving solution to the farmers based on actual data.
